Our Epcot Genie+ and Lightning Lane post covers Lightning Lane strategy in deep (note that this ride does not have a Lightning Lane). Gran Fiesta Tour Basics
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros is a dark boat ride at Disney’s EPCOT in Walt Disney World. Gran Fiesta Tour:
does not offer rider switch
does not have a Lightning Lane
does not have a single rider line
is about 6 minutes long
Measured by wait times, Gran Fiesta Tour is the one of the least popular rides in Epcot. You should expect an average wait of about 0 to 20 minutes, but this will vary greatly by time of day and day of year.
Where is Gran Fiesta Tour located?
Gran Fiesta Tour is located in the World Showcase (“the countries”) at EPCOT in the Mexico Pavilion. Entering the park from the main entrance, you’ll go straight to the World Showcase, then turn left. Mexico is the first country. The ride is located inside the giant pyramid.
How to ride Gran Fiesta Tour
Gran Fiesta Tour does not have a Lightning Lane, and it generally is not a particularly popular ride. It often is not even listed in the “Wait Times” section of the app. Waits can get to 20+ minutes for it, though.
There’s not much sense trying to find the perfect time for the ride. If you’re in the Mexico pavilion and it has a short wait, ride. Otherwise come back later.
If you start your trip around the World Showcase in Mexico, hopping on the ride before lunch will usually guarantee a short wait. It might even make sense to start in Mexico even if you’re intending to do the countries in the reverse direction (so, you could do Mexico then go “back” toward Canada, UK, and so on).
If you’re riding Frozen Ever After, it might make sense to stop at Gran Fiesta Tour around then because they’re in neighboring pavilions (Mexico and Norway).
If you’re visiting Epcot with small children, this will be one of your top picks for the family to enjoy together because of its short wait and the starring role of Donald Duck. This ride has no notable scary components.
Gran Fiesta Tour Ride Experience
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros is a dark boat ride featuring The Three Caballeros (Donald Duck, Jose, and Panchito) on an adventure through Mexico.
The ride has a mix of screen elements and a few animatronics. It’s overall a really fun ride, and definitely worth its frequent low waits. You can view a video of the ride here.
Guests unfamiliar with The Three Caballeros should watch the movie—it’s on Disney Plus! But if not, you won’t be confused and you can count on the presence of familiar fan favorite Donald Duck, in any case.
Gran Fiesta Tour FAQ
