In this post we’ll cover (hopefully) everything you need to know about Starbucks at Disney World, including what to expect from the Starbucks locations in the park (spoiler—you can pay with your Starbucks card). If you’re anything like us, coffee is an essential part of your Disney vacation, so you’ll want to read on to learn all about Starbucks at Disney World!
Starbucks Locations at Disney World
There are a total of six Starbucks locations at Walt Disney World. Four are in the theme parks and two are in Disney Springs, the shopping and dining district formerly known as “Downtown Disney”. We’re going to start just with the locations before diving deeper into what these stores offer (and don’t offer).
The park Starbucks locations aren’t listed on the map as “Starbucks”—they have different Disney names. If you search “Starbucks’ in the My Disney Experience app, these might not even show up as results.
Where is the Starbucks Inside Magic Kingdom?
The Starbucks inside Magic Kingdom is “Main Street Bakery.” It’s located on the righthand side if you’re walking down Main Street after entering the park. It features the old, brown Starbucks siren logo, not the modern green logo you might be used to.
The store (happily, in our opinion), doesn’t jump out at you, but it’s there. There is a nice coffee cup sign above it and you’ll see the (brown) Starbucks signage as you walk by it.
There’s no seating in this store, and there’s a limited amount of standing space (which is usually filled with people waiting for drinks). Your best option for seating will be at the end of Main Street USA by Casey’s and Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.
Where is the Starbucks Inside Hollywood Studios?
The Starbucks inside Hollywood Studios is “The Trolley Car Cafe.” It’s located on the righthand side of Hollywood Boulevard (the street you walk on when entering the park), at the intersection with Sunset Boulevard (the street leading up to Tower of Terror). As with Main Street Bakery, this store features the old, brown Starbucks siren logo, not the modern green logo you might be used to.
There is some seating just outside the back of the cafe, along Sunset Boulevard. Across from the Starbucks seating is more seating in the space formerly occupied by Starring Rolls. Personally, I prefer to enjoy my coffee a few steps in the other direction at the benches near Echo Lake.
Where is the Starbucks Inside Animal Kingdom?
The Animal Kingdom Starbucks is “Creature Comforts.” It’s located on the lefthand side of the path from Discovery Island into Africa, past Pizzafari. Unlike the two stores above, this store uses the modern, green Starbucks logo.
There’s limited seating outside Creature Comforts, but we recommend heading across the bridge into Africa and catching some of the streetmosphere entertainment in Harambe while you enjoy your coffee. Alternatively, explore the Discovery Island trails (which allow you to see the Tree of Life up close), which have an entrance just opposite the Starbucks.
Where is the Starbucks Inside Epcot?
The Epcot Starbucks is called “Connections Cafe” and it’s located in World Celebration (part of old Future World). From the main entrance, go left around the base of Spaceship Earth (“the ball”) and you’ll pretty quickly come to the entrance. Otherwise, the easiest way to find it is to head toward Spaceship Earth, and Starbucks is just east (on the left from the main entrance, right if you’re coming from World Showcase) of the backside of that ride. It shares a giant building with the Connections Eatery quick service restaurant.
Other Coffee Options at Disney World Parks
We do have much more to say about Starbucks, but we have to mention that there are other coffee options in the parks. In particular, there are several Joffrey’s kiosks in the parks. Quick service restaurants almost all have hot coffee, and many have iced coffee.
If lines at the kiosks / cafes are long, consider using Disney’s mobile order service to get coffee. To be clear—you cannot mobile order at the Starbucks inside the Disney parks. You also cannot mobile order from the Joffrey’s kiosks. However, several of the Disney quick service restaurants that are on mobile order have coffee.
If you want coffee before the park actually opens, at Animal Kingdom and Epcot you’ll need to visit the Joffrey’s kiosks outside the front of the park. At Magic Kingdom, the Starbucks inside on Main Street opens before the rest of the park, as does the Joffrey’s at Transportation and Ticket Center. At Hollywood Studios, the Starbucks and a Joffrey’s Kiosk by Toy Story Land are typically both open early.
Where are the Starbucks In Disney Springs?
There are two Starbucks inside Disney Springs. These are just regular Starbucks stores with the same features of all Starbucks stores. Everything about ordering, payment, and rewards is just like your regular Starbucks back home. Additionally, you can pay with Magic Bands at these stores.
The Disney Springs Starbucks stores will often have unique beverages they’ve developed in-store, some of which have Disney-inspired names.
The Marketplace location of Starbucks in Disney Springs is located between World of Disney and The Lego Store. This is a walk-up store with no seating, though there is some limited seating in the area.
The West Side location of Starbucks in Disney Springs is located next to the Aerophile (balloon experience) across from DisneyStyle. This is a full-size Starbucks with in-store seating, and it’s a common place for us to work if we’re spending extended time at Walt Disney World Resort.
Things To Know About Starbucks at Disney World
As we mentioned above, the Disney Springs stores are just regular Starbucks stores. So this section we’re going to talk about what is and isn’t different about the in-park Disney World Starbucks stores.
Beverages at Disney World Starbucks
I’m mostly an iced coffee drinker, so I can’t speak completely authoritatively, but I’ve never encountered a standard or holiday Starbucks beverage that wasn’t available in the parks. Pumpkin Spice, Caramel Brûlée, and Cold Foam have all been available in the parks when they were available outside the parks.
Coffee Blends at Disney World Starbucks
For the most part, you’ll find the standard lineup of coffee blends brewed at these stores. A typical lineup would be Pike Place, Blonde Roast, and a third blend, possibly seasonal.
Food at Disney World Starbucks
At the in-park Starbucks stores, you’ll typically find a mixture of pastries, sandwiches, and specialty Disney snacks (like holiday cupcakes).
Merchandise and “You Are Here” Mugs
Each of the in-parks stores sells a limited selection of Starbucks merchandise, including park-specific collectible “you are here” mugs. You’ll sometimes find these in the parks’ feature stores, too.
Payment Options at Disney World In-Park Starbucks
At the Starbucks locations inside the park, you can pay with a Starbucks gift card, including by scanning your Starbucks app. You can also pay with a Disney gift card, Disney Rewards redemption card, or Magic Band.
You cannot redeem stars for free drinks inside the parks, and any promotions going on at Starbucks will typically not be applicable inside the parks.
You cannot mobile order at the in-park Starbucks stores using either Starbucks mobile order or My Disney Experience mobile order.
Starbucks Rewards Points In Disney Parks
We touched on this quickly above, but let’s talk more about Starbucks Rewards at the parks. First of all, you will earn stars for purchases you make on your Starbucks card, but that’s about it. You can’t use stars, for example.
If you’re involved in a “Star Dash” or one of the other challenges Starbucks offers, our experience is that all the in-park Disney World stores count as a single location and the system will not register a specific drink order. So if you’re on a dash that requires you to order a latte, you won’t get credit for that by ordering a latte at an in-park store.
The Long Lines at Starbucks in the Parks
As for lines, they do look long, but they move pretty quickly. At Walt Disney World, I’ve honestly never regretted waiting in a Starbucks line. My hatred for waiting in lines pretty much spawned this website, so I hope you’ll take me on my word that the waits at these stores typically aren’t as bad as they look. Certainly any time a line hasn’t gotten outside the store, you can expect it to take only a few minutes to get through.
